Our horses live freely within the herd, are barefoot and have regular chiropractic therapy. They are given gentle work outs, training with fun times in the park.
Katharine applies the concept of a friendly, trust based, two-way communication riding system.
A heart centered holistic approach to horse wo’manship and learning to ride includes catching your riding horse, grooming consciously connecting in Presence, tacking up, working-in-hand as well as groundwork, lunging and free form lunging using the ‘When Horses Choose Training Techniques’ W.H.C.
We learn riding two ways. FIrstly, experiencing the challenges that arise while on the trails in glorious parkland of approx. 1000 acres. Secondly, learning to ride with and without tack in the 100 foot covered arena.
Originally from Britain, now based in Austin Texas, Katharine provides a peaceful environment, for the horses, allowing their Conscious Presence to extend itself to us.
Katharine focuses on riding solutions for all riders from all riding genres. Learning to ride in saddle and bare back.
She facilitates Equine Therapeutic Sessions four mornings a week. Katharine is a professional animal psychic, artist, clinician and non-dual meditation teacher.
Sessions are 90 mins twice a month. Monthly fee is $400.
Austin Riding and Therapy Center / Conscious Rider offer one to one sessions with Katharine that suit people who love horses, nature and riding. Appreciating a mindful approach to all three.
A.R.T.C. / Conscious Rider facilities include a shaded 100′ covered arena. Compost bathroom and a changing room. 1000 acres of WILD Nature Preserve with 8 miles of shaded trails.

Since slowly but surely healing her own trauma, following sobriety in 1989, Katharine has been in service to people transforming their trauma with horses in Austin since 2000. She has developed a powerful method for transforming triggers which can involve the horses, depending on each clients wishes. Her method involves tools to transform stress and a belief in being separate from Love (the unconditional kind) which usually means a habit of living in fear even depression. In time, these simple regulating techniques Return us to Peace and Stillness.
